Live Case: Orbital Atherectomy and Intracoronary Imaging for Complex Calcified LAD

Session 2.2 | Live Case: Orbital Atherectomy and Intracoronary Imaging for Complex Calcified LAD

Chair: Lionel Leroux

Panel: Rui Campante Teles; Mohamed Abdel-Wahab

Case Operators: Benjamin Seguy, University Hospitals of Bordeaux, Bordeaux, FR

Managing heavily calcified coronary lesions remains one of the greatest challenges in PCI. This live case performed by Dr Benjamin Seguy (University Hospitals of Bordeaux, Bordeaux, FR ) demonstrates how orbital atherectomy combined with intravascular imaging can optimise lesion preparation and stent deployment in complex LAD disease.

The session highlights decision-making around calcium modification, device selection and the use of IVUS guidance to achieve optimal expansion in challenging anatomy. Practical insights into managing tortuosity, diffuse disease and hybrid strategies will be shared by experienced faculty experts.
