This session delivers a comprehensive, practice-focused update on contemporary TAVR, centered on haemodynamic optimization and lifetime management. Led by Dr Michael Reardon, the expert faculty, address the growing challenge of treating patients with small aortic annuli, a population at heightened risk of patient–prosthesis mismatch (PPM) and adverse long-term outcomes.

Through evidence review (SMART trial) and case-based demonstrations, the session highlights the haemodynamic advantages of supra-annular, self-expanding platforms, strategies to minimize PPM and the importance of optimal valve expansion and positioning.
